Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson is best known for films like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Hidden Figures, and most recently, Proud Mary. But with the state of social issues in America, Henson says there’s another movie that she has made it her mission to make: the story of Emmett Till. Henson sat down with Radio Andy’s Bevy Smith and detailed just why the story of Till’s murder in 1955 is still so important in 2018. Watch below:
