  1. When did the subscription rates change?

    For plans that are impacted by the rate adjustment, the new subscription rates were effective as of November 15, 2017. The new rates apply to subscription purchases made on and after that date, or renewals of existing subscriptions that are processed on and after that date.

  2. Which packages and plans were impacted by the rate change that occurred on November 15, 2017?

    The standard monthly rates for Platinum, Platinum Family Friendly, Streaming Platinum, Streaming Platinum Family Friendly plans, and SiriusXM Streaming (Internet Radio purchased as an add-on to an existing plan) for a primary radio increased. The standard rates for additional radios that are eligible for the Family Discount for these same plans also increased.

  3. By how much did the rates change?

    The standard monthly rates for Platinum, Platinum Family Friendly, Streaming Platinum, Streaming Platinum Family Friendly plans, and SiriusXM Streaming (Internet Radio purchased as an add-on to an existing plan) for a primary radio increased by $1 per month.     The standard rate adjustment does not apply to the following plans: Music & Entertainment, Music & Entertainment Family Friendly, Music Showcase, News, Sports & Talk, Streaming Platinum (Internet Radio purchased as a standalone plan), Basic, Basic Plus, Español, Español Plus, A La Carte, MiRGE All-in-One, Traffic, and Travel Link.

  5. My current subscription plan does not renew until November 15, 2017 or later. When will I be billed at the new rates?

    You will be billed the new rate the next time your plan renews on and after November 15, 2017.

  6. I have a plan for the Lifetime of my radio. Does the rate adjustment on November 15, 2017 impact the Lifetime plan?

    No. Lifetime plans are not impacted by the rate adjustment.

  8. I'm still on a trial subscription but I've already ordered a new subscription that will start when my trial subscription ends. Will you charge me the new rate?

    If you have already ordered or purchased an Platinum, Platinum Family Friendly, Streaming Platinum, Streaming Platinum Family Friendly plans, or SiriusXM Streaming (Internet Radio purchased as an add-on to an existing plan) in a plan that will start when your trial ends (or if you order or purchase it before November 15, 2017), you will be charged the current rates for your first billing period, even if your trial does not end until after November 15, 2017. Then, whenever your plan bills again, you will be charged the new rates (or the rates in effect at that time) for those plans.

    Examples:

    • If you chose a monthly billing plan to follow your trial, the first month will not be impacted by the adjustment. The new rates will apply to the second and subsequent months of your plan.

    • If you chose a quarterly billing plan to follow your trial, the first three months of your service will be at the current rates. You will not be billed at the new rate until your plan bills again (after the first three months).

  9. Did the subscription rates for my 'infotainment' services from SiriusXM, such as weather, traffic, or Travel Link change on November 15, 2017?

    The rates for these traffic and Travel Link services did not change on November 15, 2017. The rates for certain Aviation and Marine plans did change on November 15, 2017.  Click here for more information on the rate changes for certain Aviation and Marine plans.

    Yes, if we have valid contact information on your account, we sent or will send a notification to you by mail or email, before your plan bills or renews. This might be a good time to visit the Online Account Center to make sure your contact information is correct.     The standard monthly rates for SiriusXM Pilot Express and WX Aviator LT subscription plans decreased by $5 per month, and the standard monthly rate for SiriusXM Pilot Preferred and WX Aviator subscription plans increased by $5 per month

    The standard monthly rate for Sirius Marine Voyager increased by $1 per month if you have combined it with a Platinum or Platinum Family Friendly plan.

    The standard rate adjustment does not apply to the following Marine plans: SiriusXM Inland, Marine Coastal or Marine Offshore; Sirius Marine Inland, Mariner, or Charter; XM Marine Skywatch, Fisherman/Sailor, and Master Mariner.
