Kyle Cantrell grew up listening to the sounds of the Grand Ole Opry. In 1982 he joined the staff of WSM, where he pioneered its first classic country format and won the 2003 Golden Voice Award for Outstanding Radio Personality. He's also been named the 2008 IBMA Bluegrass Broadcaster of the Year.
