Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Announces Nominees for 2023 Induction on SiriusXM

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation revealed today (February 1) the following Nominees for 2023 Induction: Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against The Machine, Soundgarden, The Spinners, A Tribe Called Quest, The White Stripes, and Warren Zevon.

SiriusXM’s 2023 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Nominees Reveal Show, hosted by Mark Goodman and Alan Light, will feature Joel Peresman President and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation plus other special guests.

Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Radio Nominee Week:

Hear the classic catalogs of the new Rock Hall Nominees, plus insight from them, their musical peers and Rock Hall curators, spotlighted several times an hour throughout the week.

Listen from February1 at 10a ET through February 7 on Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Radio (Ch. 310).

Nomination & Induction Selection Process

To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. Eight out of 14 of the Nominees are on the ballot for the first time, including Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson, The White Stripes, and Warren Zevon. This is the first year of eligibility for Missy Elliott and The White Stripes.

Fans around the world participate in the Induction selection process through the Fan Vote. Through April 28, fans can vote online every day at vote.rockhall.com or in person at the Museum in Cleveland. The top five artists selected by the public will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to determine the 2023 Inductees.

The 2023 Inductees will be announced in May. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2023 Induction Ceremony will take place this fall with date, venue, and on-sale information to be announced.
